Breathe & clear space within.
When life is changing fast, your feelings don't always have time to move through you.
They settle into your chest and your jaw and your belly, and your mind keeps circling.
Breath is the most direct way I know to let them move.
My breathwork is a guided breath journey that follows the cycles of the sun, the moon and the seasons. We breathe with those rhythms so what's stuck can soften and you can come back to yourself with more room inside. I offer it one-on-one on Zoom and in groups and gatherings in person.
This is for you if:
You're grieving a person or a relationship or a version of your life, and the grief feels stuck
Your mind won't stop running, even when you're exhausted
You've talked something through over and over and still feel it in your body
You're about to make a big decision and want to hear what your body knows
You want a practice that helps you feel the seasons and the sky in your own body
““The body, not the thinking brain, is where we experience most of our pain, pleasure, and joy, and where we process most of what happens to us. It is also where we do most of our healing, including our emotional and psychological healing.” ”
How we breathe
We start by arriving and talking about what you're holding and the season you're moving through. Then you lie down or sit comfortably, and I guide you through a 40-minute breath journey set to music.
The type of breath is conscious-connected breathing, which means a steady rhythm without pauses. The music has a beginning and a middle and an end, so it warms you up and builds to a peak where you meet your own strength, and then it slows down so you can rest and take in what moved. Along the way I guide you with images from the turning of the seasons and the cycles of the planets, tied to what's happening in your chart.
I think of it as revolutionary breath, breath that moves through us with the revolutions of the sky and the turning seasons. Afterward we take a few minutes to talk about what came up and how to carry it into your days.
